A serine protease whose primary function is to degrade the protein elastin, reducing or eliminating the elasticity of connective tissue.
This formulation of Elastase is chromatographically purified and a lyophilized, salt-free product. It can be used for the tissue disassociation, hydrolysis of proteins and peptides.
