Trypsin NB from porcine pancreas, SERVA
DISCONTINUED
Starting material porcine pancreas from known origin.
Microbiological examination: Total aerobic microbial count (TAMC) (Ph.Eur.)
Tryptic activity: ≥ 50 µkat/g (Ph.Eur.)
Contains also chymotrypsin, elastase and non-proteolytic activities.
Unit definition: The activity of trypsin is determined by comparing the rate at which it hydrolyses benzoylarginine ethyl ester hydrochloride R with the rate at which trypsin BRP hydrolyses the same substrate in the same conditions.
The activity is stated in microkatal; 1 µkat hydrolyses 1 µmol substrate per second. 1 µkat (Ph.Eur.) is equivalent to 60 FIP U.
Storage Temperature: +2 °C to +8 °C
