A high throughput and cooled horizontal gel electrophoresis system with buffer recirculation for optimum nucleic acid separations

The CHU25 Cooled Maxi Gel system is a cooled horizontal electrophoresis system. It provides faster and sharper resolution for up to 624 sample throughput on a 25 x 30cm gel size in a leak free tank with handles and buffer recirculation capability to eliminate pH and ion gradient formation. The cooling system permits higher voltages for faster runs.  It has a UV transparent and removable gel-casting tray with silicon end gaskets for in-tank gel casting. To cast a gel, the gel-casting tray is turned 90° to the direction of electrophoresis; the end gaskets form a leak proof seal against the inner walls of the running chamber. Once the gel has set, the gel-casting tray with gel is rotated to its original position for sample loading and electrophoresis. Tank construction includes: buffer recirculation ports to prevent buffer gradients (pH & ionic), 12mm Acrylic and leak proof design, 99.99% Platinum electrodes and Gold terminals.

Alternatively, single gels may be cast outside the tank using HU25-SCG silicone casting gates or HU25-SS Scie-Plas Super-Seals, while up to 3 additional gels may be cast simultaneously within the HU25-CU mini-gel external casting unit.
