Glucose Oxidase from Aspergillus brasiliensis, 225U/mg

Glucose Oxidase minimum of activity of 225U/mg protein

Glucose oxidase or GOx  catalyzes the oxidation of β-D-glucose into D-glucono-1,5-lactone, which then hydrolyzes to gluconic acid. It is an oxidoreductase enzyme used to determine free glucose in body fluids (diagnostics), in vegetal raw material, and in the food industry. Additionally it has applications in biotechnologies, typically enzyme assays for biochemistry including biosensors in nanotechnologies.
