Peptone Acid Hydrolysate From Vegetable
Peptone acid hydrolysate is prepared by acid hydrolysis of vegetable proteins and is suitable for use in culture
media requiring an amino acid mixture. Its growth promotional characteristics match with casein acid hydrolysate.
It can be used for preparing antibiotic sensitivity test media, in media requiring quantitative addition of tryptophan
and in vaccine preparation media as a source of high concentration of free amino acids.
Free flowing powder. Soluble in distilled water. 1 % aqueous solution remains clear without haziness even after
autoclaving at 121 °C for 15 minutes.
