Polyethylene glycol 4000  is a non-toxic water-soluble polymer of ethylene glycol. Applications for PEG 4000  include chromatography, histology, microscopy, creation of hydrogels, modification of proteins to increase their bioavailability and for pegylation of proteins.

General Specifications include:

• Average Mr 3600 - 4400

• Hydroxyl value 26.0 - 31.0

• Heavy metals (Pb) max. 5 ppm
