Dextran sulfate sodium salt 500 (DSS 500) is a white powder and contains 0.5 - 2 % phosphate for stabilization. This is a technical quality DSS and can be used for accelerating DNA hybridizations, the precipitation of lipoproteins, reinforcing plaque formation by EMC-virusas and as a Ribonuclease inhibitor.
